A Little About Us

The story behind Dale’s BBQ

Here's a good example of what happens when a hobby turns into a profession.

Be careful of the BBQ bug.  From humble beginnings with an electric smoker to a 24ft BBQ concession trailer.

I have always enjoyed back yard grilling.  The “smoker” bug hit somewhere around 1997.  My first smoker was an electric smoker, can’t remember how many I went thru. I owe a lot of my early success to “friendly competition”. A lifelong friend of mine, Bert Dean, and I used to see who could outdo the other. Bert passed away fall 2004, Bert I miss you buddy. I hope your watching now.

I bought my first real BBQ pit in 2002 and the journey began. I used my fellow coworkers as my guinea pigs  back then. “God Bless Them”.  I’m still using the old pit, but I have a new one on the way.  Now in 2005 I have purchased a 8’ & 24’ BBQ concession trailer, with a brand new Bate's Pitt on the front of it.

Competition BBQ bug hit in 2003. Lost a lot, but won a few also. But I always learned something every time I cooked.   It's a wonderful way to meet new people.  You always make new friends at every event.

Look for the red trailer with Dale’s BBQ on the side of it. In closing I would like to thank all my customers, fellow taste testers and anyone who’s been a help on this BBQ roller coaster.
