The story behind Dale’s BBQ
Here's a good example of what happens when a
hobby turns into a profession.
Be careful of the BBQ bug. From humble
beginnings with an electric smoker, then a 24ft BBQ concession
trailer, to what you see above.
I have always enjoyed back yard grilling. The “smoker” bug hit
somewhere around 1997. My first smoker was an electric smoker;
can’t remember how many I went thru. I owe a lot of my early success
to “friendly competition”. A lifelong friend of mine, Bert Dean, and
I used to see who could outdo the other. Bert passed away fall 2004.
Bert I miss you buddy. I hope your watching now.
I bought my first
real BBQ pit in 2002 and the journey began. I used my fellow
coworkers as my guinea pigs back then. “God Bless Them”. In
2005 I purchased an 8’ x 24’ BBQ Concession Trailer, with a brand
new Bate's Pitt on the front of it.
Competition BBQ bug hit in 2003. Lost a lot, but won a few
also. But, I always learned something every time I cooked.
It's a wonderful way to meet new people. You always make new
friends at every event.
Now, I have what you see above, Dale's BBQ.
So, come by and give us a try. Or, you might want to look for
the red trailer with Dale’s BBQ on the side of it. Either way,
I would love for you to give my BBQ a taste and let me know what you
think.
In closing I would like to
thank all my customers, fellow taste testers, and anyone who’s been
a help on this BBQ roller coaster.
Please contact me for your parties,
reunions or catering.
